Is it torture? Or is it Inversion Therapy?…Some dare call it “exercise”….
I am so damn sick of the caterwauling from those who call tough treatment of high-value prisoners “torture.” Basically, the treatment that a select few received is no worse than that received by our own soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines during training….in fact, that’s where these “techniques” came from. When faced with recalcitrant terrorists, some creative soldiers and former soldiers said “let’s do what Sarge did to us…that can’t be torture, but it sure did suck.” And the Bush administration, after great study, seemed to have agreed.
But the Democrat loons continue to rave about “medieval torture,” even as Speaker Pelosi becomes Stammerer Pelosi as she tries ’splain her way out of obvious political duplicity. Our politics have become ridiculous, and that’s a tough way for a polity to survive in a tumultuous era. Oh well.
SO anyway, apparently some of those photos that weren’t supposed to be released, were in fact released, and the London Daily Telegraph is calling them “shocking photos of prisoner abuse.” Here is the example they used (below, left):

Now, I will be frank with you….the most horrible thing about this photo ( the “torture” photo on the left), for this guy who is obviously just stretching his back out–and getting a little exercise in closed quarters–is the fact that they deployed the censorship rectangle horizontally, instead of vertically. What kind of message is that going to send to the virgins back home? That thing should be hangin’ half way to his navel. The guy must be hung like an infant….they could have used a teeny-tiny little smiley-face to protect his modesty. But anyway, this constitutes “torture” and “prisoner abuse” in the UK these days, apparently.
Now, I did a little research, and if you want to see some really blood-curdling stuff, check out athletic equipment joints that sell inversion therapy stuff, for people with back problems. Enjoy.  Or shudder.

At some point Obamaism must become Obamadiculous. I would be willing to bet that Barney Frank has this equipment all over his house.
If it were up to me, I’d put these Guantanamo bastards in the Comfy Chair, and poke them with the soft cushions.

Driver, I thought exactly the same thing about the fellow hanging from the bunk bed. (I worked as a RN back in the day, so I’ve seen a fairly broad spectrum of the male anatomy.) Even a eunuch would need a larger rectangle. Did he select the pink floral sheets himself?

Hey, dirty minds think alike, Sticker. I suspect the pink floral sheets were selected by the CIA torturers, though. Can you imagine? How medieval. Just horrible. It was nice that they stuffed a pink towel under his ankles to prevent chafing, though.

I think the Daily Telegraph is the torturer not the US Government. (Unwittingly so? I think not…bring on the truth trials.) Pictures of the terrorist with the ambiguous genitalia are now a permanent internet record. Neverending humiliation is such a perfect form of retribution don’t you think? Even though it doesn’t nearly square up the death of 3000 Americans.
driver….many thanks for the above Divinyls…
