In the next election cycle, things need to be drastically different. Democracy is not Augusta National Golf Club. It’s a messy free-for-all, and in a two-party system, the GOP will not survive if it doesn’t accept the fact that the Democrats are its enemy and that it must begin to play for keeps. That means finding another Lee Atwater – only meaner – and not apologizing when we get him.

I want a lot more of this kind of cowbell. The idea that Congressman Wilson’s comment was historically rude is simply a canard. A farce, a lame joke. It’s about damn time somebody said what he said. Read this piece that I wrote back in February. I am sick and tired of people who are on my side criticizing Congressman Wilson for having the stones to stand up and call a liar a liar. They should know better. Rude? Lying repeatedly to the citizens of this nation is rude. Obama is a liar and a fraud, and it’s about time someone pointed that simple fact out. There are no rules in a knife fight, and that is what this country is in. You win, or you lose, and nice people finish last.
