Damn, last night was so good I almost wanted a cigarette afterwards…

…fumbled around under the sheets until I found the remote, clicked it on, and he was still there. Awesome. Went downstairs and out on the front porch for my morning stretching….there were spent 7.62 casings everywhere. A champagne cork. A note from my neighbor: “NEXT TIME KEEP THE NOISE DOWN GODDAMIT.” I don’t blame him. He’s a Dem, and I was making rather merry.
Well then, where do we go from here? For starters, I suggest that Scott Brown do his first post-election interview on FOX, and that he do it with Sarah Palin. You want to talk about a ratings bonanza, there it is.
I sent twin checks to senatorial campaigns last week….one to Scott, the other to my own state’s hopeful, Pat Toomey, who is running against the hideous Arlen Specter. With the victory in Massachusetts, there will be other opportunities to crash the serving cart through the cockpit door and re-take control of USA-93. Let’s keep at it, people, this fight has only just begun.

Neo-neocon revives an old slogan….Heh!
Somewhat related: The Anchoress drew my attention to a site I had never heard of, but one that deserves a great deal of attention. Yes, America betrayed George W. Bush. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a good man and a good president.
As Obama continues to make decisions that mirror the Bush doctrine, it is becoming apparent that the former president was not ignorant or irrational in his foreign policy decisions despite the harsh criticism and disloyalty he endured. He was in fact, ahead of his time, a visionary who understood politics and warfare in the modern age of terrorism.
That is why Obama is now following his lead.
It should be obvious now, even to Obama’s most passionate supporters that shielding the free world requires more than mere words like “hope” and “change.” Bush’s detractors should be embarrassed having arrogantly thought they could do it better, and those Republicans who abandoned Bush when he needed them most should take a moment to reflect on their fortitude or lack thereof.
Americans who chastised President Bush for removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq should apologize and show him the same respect they are now showing President Obama as he neutralizes the Taliban in Afghanistan.
George W. Bush seemed to have an almost mystical understanding of what the American people needed when we needed it most. He reminded all of us of why we should be proud to be Americans at a time when there was a whisper that we brought the Sept. 11 attacks upon ourselves for promoting democracy abroad.
President Bush deserves our respect, not our betrayal.
Inversely related: Dr. Violet Socks and I disagree on most things political, but I enjoy and respect her rants…which is why Reclusive Leftist is on my blogroll (in case you were wondering). She is on my short list of people I’d like to sit next to on a long train ride, in the bar car.
Ten million people could march on Washington dressed as Che Guevara, and the Democrats would interpret it to mean that Americans want the party to move right
That is worth noting, only because it is such an interesting concept.

Woodwork:
Ah, the lively wit and traditional irony of Che in an Obama tee. I need one of those. My son would love it! Not so much his teachers.
