Amused Cynic

This piece caught my eye while I was doing some research for another music project….guitar thieves who show pictures of themselves displaying their loot on the popular web networking forum. Now the police know exactly who they are and what they look like. Since my Boston days, I have done a lot of business with Daddy’s Junky Music (a chain of used music gear stores throughout New England) and acquired some real treasures. I’ve also had my share of gear stolen, as has almost every other working musician I’ve known, so there is a great deal of poetic justice to this stupidity on the part of that vilest of creatures….the musical instrument thief. Someone should write a song about it.
